We were fortunate enough to run a session for the Parish community on 6<sup>th <\/sup>March, 2019, which ran for one hour with approximately 50 people in attendance. The session was very informative and engaging in covering a broad range of topics such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Define dementia<\/li><li>Types of dementia<\/li><li>Signs and symptoms of dementia<ul><li>Memory loss<\/li><li>Communication and language<\/li><li>Attentive skills<\/li><li>Visual perceptions<\/li><li>Reasoning &amp; Judgement<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Risk factors<\/li><li>Prevention&nbsp;<\/li><li>Strategies\/ plan to assist others with dementia<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This was a successful event in raising awareness and educating the parish community on dementia.
