2019 The year of Pig. The Chinese Outreach Group was excited to share their culture in celebrating of Chinese New Year with the parish after 10am on the 1th of February we prepared special scrumptuous Chinese New Year snacks and invited Chinese New Year mascot Cai Sun to give out lucky red packets and take photos with the parishioners. Some parishioners took the opportunity to have their English names written in Chinese calligraphy and discover the Chinese meaning. 

In the following weekend, the Chinese Outreach Group once again celebrated Chinese New Year with their own community along with Fr Casey, Fr George and a few other religious and their long term fans of Chinese culture – Judy Fleming, Win and Giok, Vince and Jenny. Guests had a great times enjoying the traditional Chinese banquet and playing Chinese New Year related games.
